View from the White Horse in North Yorkshire
The carving of figures into the chalky hillsides is a fairly common practice among earlier civilizations.
In this case I looked away from the monument and found this stunning view, which always takes my breath away.

It's a great place to sit and watch the world go by. There is a glider club that takes off from the top of the hill, too, so you get a shwooshhh from time to time.
