Loneliness is by far the most viewed image on my website.

Many people seem to search the Internet in search of "loneliness". I guess that is how many people feel.

This image was shot in Sydney in 1986, somewhere near the Sydney Opera House.

It is just a simple snapshot. Yet it is such a powerful image, with the crippled man's loneliness reinforced by the fact that he is "outside the circles".

But this image, too, suffered from some discoloration. See Loneliness (before).

And for some years, my best version of it was desaturated to the point of being almost black and white, with just a hint of color.

I finally got this version in April this year - 22 years after the picture was first taken - when my friend Larry helped me clean and restore my precious old slides.
