sweep
In 2005, I visited my hometown Khabarovsk, Russia, which I left many years ago. I found Central Park, where I spend so many happy days of my childhood, is repaved and obsessively clean... with this old-fashioned broom sweep technique.

Here's what strikes me about this photo: If the angle had been just a degree or two lower, thus excluding the long view of the promenade, it wouldn't have worked quite so well for me. What I like to imagine is that this lady has swept this entire area, and the little pile of leaves in the foreground is all that remains to be finished. Quite a feat to accomplish with this crude witch-style broom! (So, the fact that she's wearing the bold red and blue SuperWoman/WonderWoman colors is especially appropriate.)
