Regardless of the religion or the faith that any one individual may have, there are subtle reminders that tie back to those believes that we witness every day. It can be the miracle of birth; it could be a stranger doing a good deed it could be anything. Whether it be the faith in humanity the earth or a God there are always these subtle reminders that reinforce our core belief system and give us strength to carry on in this crazy and often times confused world in which we live. They generally show up when we least expect them or in places that don’t necessarily make sense. But when we see them stand out against the ordinary they take on a new meaning.
I work in downtown Seattle. Every day I park on the same floor of the same garage. I see the same people, the same cars and the same things every day. One day when driving up the endless ramps to park, I saw this glow of light coming from behind an expansion joint in the garage that back-lit this tie back brace. It then struck me how it looked like a cross. It was an ordinary day, nothing special. It was just a new light peering through the crack that allowed me to see this image. It Just goes to prove, even the dull mundane things we see everyday can make a decent image or remind us that what we believe is there for us, even in the strangest of places.
