My sister-in-law and I take off an irresponsible amount of work to go on vacation numerous times a year.

This past May, starting out in West Memphis, Arkansas, we took a 5-day road trip going East through the entire states of Tennessee and North Carolina (stopping to visit friends in Asheville, attend a wedding near Durham and find a restaurant that could satisfy my craving for good boneless buffalo wings), and looping around at the Atlantic going back through South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.

This is Wrightsville Beach; it's on the Atlantic coast near Wilmington, North Carolina (our final overnight stay on the trip). It was also the farthest point on our trip, a little over 800 miles from where we began.
