Lost Sheep
A field of small markers with sheep atop remembering the many children who died of the Spanish Flu Pandemic. The Spanish Influenza was likely to kill young, healthy adults as children or the elderly. It was a global epidemic of such devastating proportions that it is believed to have taken between 30 to 40 million lives. In the history of infectious diseases the Spanish Influenza epidemic of 1918-1919 was one of the worst catastrophes of our time.
