Polaroid transfer photograph. I wanted to convey a sense of the vulnerability and anxiety of childhood. Look closely, and you will see the forest is actual the focal point, and the little girl is out of focus. The photo is more about the forest: all the unknowns that exist as a child. I wanted people to assume this is a child playing Hide and Seek, counting. But instead, she is actually covering her eyes to protect herself from her fears, which loom in the forest behind her.

Yes I see the focal point, the trees, and by you describing the photos I see that her game could be recognised as a fear factor.
