I wonder if anyone else is alone. Are there others with no mother, no father, no family? Is there anyone else without a hometown anymore? All I have are relics from the past; wrinkled reminders of what used to be. The rare visit "home" to Louisiana leaves me completely empty. Melancholy; like a guitar without strings. Sometimes, I miss the show.

I am getting there, and sometimes I wonder if the process of moving into it is worse than what it will be like when all is done and gone...i love your photographic representation (that not the word I'm looking for, but it will do) of this feeling.

Yes, I know this feeling well. Wonderful photo with a lot of emotion. Everything changes and this will abate. It is only temporary.

An interesting, quiet yet quite powerful self portrait. Understatement seems to be the key, with the use of light, or more importantly shadow play. With this image I have feelings of the 80s. Superb dress. Perfect for the shot.

Jolinda, beautiful Jolinda: Zen is the absence of things that aids one in obtaining enlightenment. (I used to study martial arts.) The less you have, the less encumbered you are. I am trying to make the best of loss....hopefully, it makes me a stronger, more enlightened, and realistic person.
But, we'll have to see! -
