Emma

My oldest at 13. She has slowed down considerably. That ball would not have been ignored in the past. I depend on her to teach the others what's what. I dread her death.

Emma looks like a Sweetie ! Our Golden is 12 1/2 and aging fast, so I understand your feelings. Great composition by the way.

I like the way you shot this through the screen. They do become very important to us, don't they? She's a good dog.

Love Emma at first sight....yes, Nelson, I sometimes imagine the inevitable with our dog too...You know what though, you are giving them a good life, that's what it's all about...

What a sweet photo. I can tell that Emma's a good dog, and I know it'll be hard to lose her.

Sure captures all your feelings, as well as her slow decline... You mentioned the word death (which is the other 'thing' every living creature always faces, irrespective) but I hadn't thought about it relative to “Princess”... Made me sad to realize that, she'll be leaving sooner or later... I wanna get an older than 3 yo Border Terrier next, if I find one at the pound to rescue. Rescue, yes, toilet training, nahh!!

She's beautiful Nelson! I'm sure she's had many great years spent with you!

I adore her indifferent look - I too am old and know exactly how she feels. All the toys mean nothing anymore....just give me love and feed me and let me nap.
