Overnight, the canals of the city of Venice can partially flood the large piazzas (squares). This is a shot of San Marco in the late morning or the early afternoon, and to get anywhere, one MUST walk through the puddles. Some have more fun than others--like the little boy in green. The yellow chairs and band were are a restaraunt. This piazza is also a popular wedding location (we saw 3 in one day!) The water dries up by late afternoon...
