Rob, I agree with you. While the picture was captured well. In my opinion Capitalism is a great thing. Do we as a people really want the government to have that much control? I like the fact that we as Americans or any other Capitalistic economy in the free world can make of ourselves as much or as little as we please.

While capitalism does not equal democracy, the two do often (not always but often) go together. And even the biggest fan of capitalism must admit that it has its dark sides. That such a sign exists to be photographed, and that such a photograph can be posted to a public place, however, is the heart of democracy. Very thought provoking shot. Well done.

I love how many anti-capitalists are heavily into supporting small, local, family owned businesses - the essence of what true capitalism really is... Great photo!!

Paulo, You might be a Socialist! Look at the new direction of China. If Capitalism doesn't work, then why has China embraced it. Nicolas Sarkozy of France also has the understanding that Capitalism allows each person to become what ever he or she wants to become. If you work hard, you succeed. As for the photograph, I don't see any connection to the topic.

I think this says it all. While capitalism may not be bad in itself, outsourcing is, and unfortunately thanks to the Free Trade Agreement that is the case. Capitalism is democracy in the US, and to a certain extent most people are too stupid to realize what they have. I don't agree with what capitalism has done to people, consumerism and ignorance is what makes capitalism bad. I grew up in communist East Berlin, I know exactly what that means, I felt the greedy effects of capitalists outsourcing a group of people that didn't have a clue what was happening to them after the Wall fell. I suggest everyone watch "The legends of Rita" and "Liberated Zone" if they don't get what I'm saying. Communism is not all bad, at least we didn't have any homeless people in the east while West Berlin turned into the Heroin Capitol of the world.

have you heard about the environmental state of the world in the last 50 years? Who is the biggest polluter in the world?
USA
AND THE SECOND ONE ? China
it is not about being socialist or commie it is about something else that we are going to find out... Maybe in 20 years or so when we realize we cant eat money and oil and cars and brands and trash. We are all in the same sinking boat including me. -

A lot of people don't get it. This sign even being able to exist and be publicly spread around is DEMOCRACY.
and as far as capitalism allowing the hard working to become what they want... that's such a sham. Very few ever escape the class that they were born into and it is set up that way. -

This may be interesting artwork, but it is really only a picture of someone else's artwork...and the artwork itself is what brings up all of the discussion...not the actual photo...right?

You sir have confused capitalism with corporatism. Also more than have the businesses in the united states are run by small business not the monsterous corporations of which government is the most horrible.
