Rebuilding the Lower 9th
This is the Goodwin family home. Mr. Goodwin is working hard with help from volunteers from the Common Ground Relief so that his mother can return to her home. This home was still standing after the storm surge because a large barge that was in the canal landed right beside the home forcing the water to part and go around it. Mrs. Goodwin will be back in her home within the month and her grand children are coming to spend the summer with her.
