Evidence of Hurrican Katrina

This flag remained among the ruins of Mississippi City United Methodist Church in Gulfport, MS. The church is just two blocks from the Gulf Coast and was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. I was touched to see the original flag still in the building. There are water stains throughout the flag and one large hole.

The church has since been rebuilt, but this flag will always be a reminder of our government's response to Katrina.

Taken March 24th, 2007.
