"Donny and Rat"
Donny is an ex VietNam vet that lived in his car with his dog, Rat.
Rat was his everything and Donny was not a friendly type. I asked Donny if he'd like a picture of the two of them together and he didn't say anything to me, just got out of his car with Rat and sat down in the dirt and started talking to Rat.
When I returned with the photo - he cried and showed it to Rat.
Donny told me last year that Rat died. He continues to live in his car.

A very touching image. It is a shame how those who served in the past are often forgotten, or that their daily struggles may be the only visible scars from that service continue.
