He ain't heavy either . . .
he's my other brother.
(I keep revisiting this photo of my brother and I - there are no other photos of us together - except for when he was a baby and I was holding him. What amazes me is that we are twenty years apart. I don't believe he looks old for his age and I don't believe I look young for mine, but I am dumbfounded that we don't look that far apart.)
Home from Ohio, just for the summer, we had a good talk yesterday, making me realize how very much I've not been there for most of his life and making me wish I'd been able to be more involved (we share the same dad, different moms).
We laughed taking this picture. I kept re-doing because I wasn't happy with myself - he wasn't giving me the "yeah, that's the one!" feeling. He hated his crow's feet, I hated my other issues. Anyway, we kept laughing as I kept re-doing.
As I write this, I smile and think of him. Like the Budweiser commercial, "I love you man!" Glad we had our time together in the sun.
