Laura
This is Laura.
Taken from a recent shoot actually for a local hair stylist.
This is one of my favourites from that day.
Shot on manual settings and simply converted to B&W.
All comments appreciated, positive and negative. It's the only way to grow!
Thanks for looking.

The "white" makes me think of cream (positive)...her hair comes across her face like fangs (cool)...the eyes draw me to them no matter where I look in the photo (positive)...and she's got that Mona Lisa thing goin' on with her lips (positive)...I guess I'd say this was another marvelous Fudge confection.

I think she should have gone with highlights .. oh wait, were you wanting comments on your photo? :) .. The lighting is perfectly soft, her eyes are sparkly and no matter where I look they follow me, she has a slight smiling expression and is also hinting at flirting and I love it, she seems at ease and happy and I agree with Struan the photo definitely stands out. Nicely done Gary.

I like the starkness of the background. Nothing competes with her face and hair. Simple and lovely as usual, Gary.

I love this shot Gary. The hair across the eyes, the angle. The only thing that I am having a hard time with is the arm across the bottom although I can't really put my finger on why. Maybe if she had been wearing a dark shirt, so her face could have popped out even more.

I agree w/ most all of the above; tones, pose, background, comfortable model, even the eye glint = excellent;

I do not like the arm in this shot, if it were not specific to the hair-style, I might not be affected by this; and here's why:
for a stylist, the purchaser of your photo is going to want to see the specifics to the cut; specifics I usually tend to keep an eye on (1) the crown (2) the ends;
razor cuts, under cut, etc. are all critically important to them.
+ You nailed the crown fantastically executed; but with the arm we're missing the cut to the ends.
(omg, i'm way to in to hair!) -
