Where else but the south (Spartanburg, SC, to be exact) can you find local fresh fruit and, of course, boiled - and boiling - peanuts right on the side of the highway? It's one of the charming, rustic things I like about South Carolina, even though the "charming," rustic attitudes are a different story.

Oh wow! My favorite....I miss boiled peanuts so much. You can't get them in Europe. At least I have not seen them in my travels. Florida, Georgia...A roadside favorite. Thanks for the flash back!

I am from S.C. too. When I go home for a visit I must bring back TONS of these! Cannot get them in Missouri! i freeze them and Microwave a bit and then eat them and are still so YUMMY! My elder neighbor had never had boiled Pnuts and when I shared she ate the shell and all! LOL....Thank you for the Photo!
