Inverness Cathedral
This photo is hot! Share it!
Inverness Cathedral is a baby, in the history of cathedrals in the UK.
It was built between 1866-1869 and due to lack of funds was never really finished.
It should have had two spires, but simply has two spire-less towers.
I was inspired by Fraser Ross's interpretation of the building.
This is taken from the same point, between pews 11 &4 but processed differently.

Amazing capture Gary. I love the lighting in this photo. It cries out reverence. It's like actually being there. Great work!

I do believe our dear friend Struan put it so eloquently .. and so worth repeating, "Fudge-o-licious!" .. Gary .. this is a beautiful photo. Incredible colors and details. So crisp and clean. And it's "indoors" which is a bit unusual and off your spectrum of photos of late .. but I absolutely love it, and you remain a most amazing photographer in my eyes. Very nicely done. And probably the closest I'll get to church in a long time .. so my neighborhood thanks you too. *wink*

It is, quite simply, utterly imposible for me to take this quality of image with this gorgeous light, and this amazing color by the somewhat antiquated and cumbersome method I choose. You are a Master at yours, and this sort of talent like yours neither requires, nor could ever be attained at University. I salute you on another meticulously and beautifully crafted piece. I salute you, also, for ALMOST making me want to go back to church, but not quite! Though God knows, I need it.......
