In Flannery O'Conner's short story, Parker's Back, the author describes a man covered in tattoos, looking for the perfect puzzle piece to complete it. His back is the only space unmarked. In the book, O.E. (aka Parker) finally settles on a Byzantine Christ, marking his undeserving changing from the Law to the Spirit. This is my representation of a Christ tattoo, this time on a woman, to show the dark and confusing journey we travel as we look for faith.
