This is from my upcoming photo essay about remnicising.....I actually remember sitting in Uncle John's office just like this one, with the very same utensils and drill/cleaning setup...of course I was around 9 years old....

thanks Jan....I only wish I had someone to sit in the chair and another dressed as the dentist working on the patient...i think that would really give it more appeal....

I wonder if there hasn't been something lost with the glitz of dental pracice these days. Don't mind giving up the painl but the environment today is so media saturated...This is beautiful somehow.

William, is this in your uncle's home? Was he a dentist and the room is still the same? Great shot. I like the school one more for the nostalgia theme as more people feel nostalgic for their schooldays than they do the dentist - LOL! :)

when i was just a little guy, i remember old doc Dawson had one of these. he started drilling out a tooth before the freezing had taken effect one time and the old coot knocked me out....so i've never liked dentists. however, sometimes the dental assistants are lovely .
