Sand Spirals Made By ??
I've always wanted to know what makes these cool spirals in the beach sand. Can anybody clue a prairie girl in?

Love the tones, lines, and interesting textures! I've seen these sand structures before and wondered the same thing.

i'm gonna guess that some kind of a worm, like a tubeworm maybe, creates these features. i find them fossilized in crushed limestone in Florida all the time. have you ever broken them open? if they're hollow, that would bolster my theory. if they're solid, i would say they're akin to the little slime trails snails leave on concrete, except with a much larger snail.
