i've heard of this many times but never witnessed it 'till this happened in my driveway! As i understand it, the wasp paralyzes the spider with her stinger then drags it back to her nest where she lays eggs in or on its body. then the hatchlings eat the living spider for nourishment to grow. Feel free to chime in all you bug-shutterbugs!
