No photoshop was used on this image (obviously with the exception of scanning.) It is a paper internegative transfer, meaning all the interpretation was done in the darkroom, with retouching done by hand in pencil on the back of the paper internegative. It's a very tedious and time consuming process, but it's quite artistically rewarding.
The image was actually shot in flat daylight; the lighting is courtesy of the pencil retouching.

Hauntingly beautiful image...I love this kinda of imagery as it leaves much more to one´s imagination as 2 what is really going on... This would make a great CD album cover foto.

Its always so nice to see someone that still practices (dare I say it) "old Fashioned" dark room techniques. This really is an amazing effect. Looks great !
