Mrs. Micheaela Blanton grieves the loss of her husband NC State Trooper Shawn Blanton during memorial services June 21, 2008. Trooper Blanton was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop On June 17, 2008 along I-40 in North Carolina. He was also the father of a two week old baby boy.

Heartbreaking image. She just looks so young. Her tears are so unsounded and pure. She is now a widow, and the life of a baby who will never remember the face of his dad is now on her arms.
