Xi'An Marketplace
I've gotten mixed feedback on this picture, which is perfectly fine and viewed as a compliment. Everyone that has given this the raging thumbs down complained about the contrast, tone, brightness, etc of it.
Unless you've been to China, you wouldn't know that most lights are dimly lit due to what I'm guessing is part of a power conservation effort. My intention, as in many of my pictures was to capture and preserve that feel.

I'm jealous, this looks like a wonderful place to fossick around. Xi'An has always been on my list of places to visit in China.

Why not go? Just keep saving up here and there and research different places to stay. In Xi'An, I stayed at the Melody Hotel. I think it was like $35 a day. My room was absolutely gorgeous.

Hi Henry! Did you fit anything fun into the one day that you were there?
