Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

What if tomorrow came but no one was there?

(This is actually a park along the Mississippi River in Savanna, Illinois. In late June, it was totally submerged due to the record rainfall and flooding in the upper midwest.) I thought driving by, it had an almost apocalyptic look about it... a world under water and deserted. The good news is, the water receded and the park is back although the grass is very soggy and it needs a cleaning up.
