Fireworks on the Pismo Pier
This was a lucky and amazing shot. I sat down quietly behind the shadowy man and his dark bike, anticipating every moment. I was in the moment, like a hunter stocking her prey. Stocking for my subject, the man and his bike, rather than focusing firework show. I took over a hundred shots and this was the best one. If you look closely you can see a ghostly figure smeared behind the main subject's hand and the middle of the front tire wheel. Also, two dark figures gaze above at the firey spectacle, while a slight wooden pier creeps into the scene.
