This is paradise, right here - the beach at West Bay on the island of Roatan off the coast of Honduras. Two local boys take a break from swimming as a water taxi cruises by. The Caribbean water is warm and clear. Silvery almost transparent fish might glide past as you wade in.. A gentle breeze, hot sun, and Monkey Lalas waiting at the Bananarama Bar.

When it comes to paradise, there's usually a catch, though. In this case, 2 words: sand fleas.

ah yes, i can still feel those fleas biting....usually worst at sunup and sundown...
love this feeling though...you've got it in a box, forever framed...and this is how it should be.

Clean beach, clear water, blue sky lightly framed by a hint of Palm Trees ... looks like Paradise ... but sand flies, ouch!
