Sandoway bay

Sandoway Bay in Ngapali, Burma (today Myanmar) is like a gigantic swimming pool.
The water is absolutely calm and clean. The only snag is, the place is so clean and natural that there are lots of water bugs in the water, so swimming can be a bit of a problem -- you get bitten after every stroke.
This was the closest to Paradise that I ever got.
I was fortunate to visit this place (I think it was in 1983) when I was a journalist covering a visit to Burma by a Singapore government Minister. Would love to go back there again!
For the fisherman who live in the area, it is Paradise in another sense. I was told that one day of fishing yields enough catch to support the family for a week.
So they work one day and rest one week. Now, isn't that paradise?
