The Internal Complication of Maggie Dempsey

. . . .This was one of my first long exposures. I took it for a friend of mine because I wanted to give her something as a gift. I don't know why I didn't have my cell phone on me, but I had no way of timing the exposure that night; I set the aperture to f5.6, opened the shutter, smoked one cigarette, then closed the shutter. I guess it was meant to be. The film was Kodak Gold 200ISO.

well robert, i was a procrastinating kind of guy and didn't reply ...and after seeing this photo, i remembered...and i'm glad i did!
this is just plain wicked...i have no other words that are coming to me at the moment, if i did, i'm sure it would be something more meaningful than "wicked'...
everything from the timing aspect, to the framing and the coloring...nicely done

The story came quite awhile after the picture was taken and given to her. She was with me there at the pier that night when I took it . . . . I think she refers to that in the story to put it into context a little better for you.
