I sat in Bryant Park with a friend. While waiting He spotted a tall blond on a laptop. I was watching something a bit taller. The plane was to shoot Time Square. Something I've never done. My friend shot on auto iso. Its a wild new feature in the Nikon D3. I live for the love of color reflected from a surface whipped out my color meter. It's not a camera or toy. It doesn't show you a picture when you use it in search for immediate visual gratification. It just gives you numbers that constantly change. The price of one of these things is just as expensive as a D3. A color meter can tell you what your camera can't and what your eye can miss. I set my camera to match the kelvin meter. I was lucky. I was less than 3% off.
He snapped away and watched the tall thin blond walk with her hair blowing in the light wind. I sipped my water and without him noticing. In the other direction from my laptop my camera sat and fired of four shots.
We headed to time square to enjoy the zoo of people on a saturday night. But before I left Imagined the light I saw will grace the shores of Australia the Asia and Europe catching the thoughts of other photographers that enjoy JPG as much as me

Seeing this image makes you appreciate the different styles architects apply in their field. It is a joy of see a visual contrast of Art Deco and Modern architecture in the city. Funny how these themes are. The say geometry and everyone shoots a pattern. BUt you Glenn give a dissertation on the theme in one picture. I'm sure the editors will miss this but this is more than cool. Seeing your work I never have to go to a gallery to see photography.
The next time you are out six of my friends would like you to start a photography workshop in Colorado Springs at the Library. -
