Beijing, China (Crossbill)
In the Temple of Heaven, the former ceremonial and architectural zenith of China, a man secures by a thin chain and rod the tenuous relationship between earth and sky. I think of Paradise in this way, how by a thin, sometimes forced grasp of the temporary, we sense the infinite.
In the Sino of the Times photo essay.

This photo is so eloquence in its simplicity. I think going BW was a smart choice. It does not distract the eye, but lets it think on its own, uninhibited by the cognitive.
