This is the woman who taught me how to be a human being. Who taught me how to care for others as well as myself. She has lived through World War II, racial segregation, and the assassinations of Martin Luther King, Jr. and President John F. Kennedy.

This is my Mother. The photo she's holding was taken when she was 24 years old. She is 69 today, and just as gorgeous, outgoing, and fun as she ever was.
