Tiny Bubbles ... Fly me to the Moon
Shooting the moon through a bubble, in focus with an aesthetically pleasing complement of bubbles and both exposing and lighting them correctly … in the darkness, turned out too try my patients more then I had anticipated (as well as the use of an aircraft hanger haha). Not surprisingly, it’s quite difficult to focus in on transparent bubbles in the dark. In fact most are out of focus, which I ended up liking better as it gives a hint of depth to the shot. I suppose most would ask me why I didn’t simply Photoshop the image and the simple answer would be because I don’t how (only ever using Photoshop to convert RAW images). But the better answer is: there is nothing quite like sense of gratification from capturing an image with just a camera.
