A friend of mine, his son found comfort in music during rough times in his life. He was looking to start a group back then, it was called "Starlit Skyline". I tried to keep the environment to be a close metaphor for that.

The guy is on the very fringes of the stage created by the light.
He is slowly being swallowed by the shadow. Does he want to step in or stay out? He uses his guitar to test the shadow's waters.
His trousers, his jacket, even his hair, are part of this shadow. -
