[MOLD SERIES] Sample 1 #3 (Macro)
For my Mold Series I used different types of mold and bacteria plates that I ordered from a lab. I then took air, dust and bacteria samples on each plate, then I let the mold grow. To photograph I placed each dish on a white light table.
The entire series is on my site: http://web.mac.com/jodabaum/JBportfolio/Gallery/Gallery.html
In the Microbial Apparatus photo essay.

the itty bitty ones might be E. coli. The growth patterns don't look quite like penicillium to me, from photos I found on the internet, but could be. Maybe the fuzed out green one in the back?
um..... Cladosporium?
Don't know.. I do know it's a Blood Agar plate! :) -

Blood agur plate is correct!.. This sample was taking from the air in a small old mobile home.... and you may be correct about cladosporium, and i may have been wrong about the penicillum... i need to check the analyticals

As a microbiologist your story is near and dear to my heart. Great pic! I've always thought microbes were quite pretty...but I suppose I am a bit biased :)
