Another view of my house in miniature, this time from the side and front. No house in Mexico could be without a patio! Or the flowers, or the fountain. The exterior is rough on purpose, made to look like stucco over straw bale. This medium is used in Baja very often, even though the walls would be much thicker if the house were really built that way. Another method uses stucco over tri-d panel, which allows for cutting holes and carving curves like those along the wall.

In the Memories in Miniature photo essay.
