While touring Mack-O-Cheek castle in West Liberty, Ohio, you get the feeling that you are intruding in a stranger's house. That feeling results from the fact that the house has been left just as it was when the Piatt family lived there. Construction was completed in 1871 and the family resided there for over a century. The home is so well preserved that you can almost hear afternoon conversation over tea as you approach this dinette near a large window in the great room.

I like this photo. Most particularly the quality of the light. There is a touch of romance in it. Also the detail in the wood floor and in the drapes above the window add character to the image. The tablecloth applique around the edge stands out very well. The exposure used works very well for this shot. Well done.
