Storm Over Puget Sound

This Storm Pummeled The Puget Sound in the Seattle/Tacoma area for over 10 hours. Several photographers were already set up when I arrived to this spot on Queen Anne overlooking the Marina and Bainbridge Island.

The exposure was about one minute at f/8 on film loaded in a RB67 on a heavy Bogen Studio Tripod. Two discharges of energy occurred while I applied pressure via thumb on the cable release and I literally saw this shot in my mind and laughed out loud. Several of the shooters around sighed as they were fumbling with the equipment and not shooting at the time.

Months later I set up right next to one of the same photographers from before at a local art show and we were able to compare shots. What an experience! Keep shooting!

In the story The Lightning Hunter.
