North Korea
This was July 27th, and the North Koreans were celebrating their curious "victory" over the South Koreans on this day over half a century ago when the Korean War ended. They may be the only people in the world to celebrate a victory on their side, however they are ordered to pay respects to Kim Jong Il's statue in the middle of Kaesong City. So everyone from North Korea was traveling today, dressed up, in Hanbok dresses, white powdery make-up on the ladies, and the men's best clothes.
Kaseong City hasn't seen a new building since before the war I think. It is like a deserted movie set, with very few cars strictly for the military, and very little electricity.
In the North Korea photo essay.
