As my children were going away for a beach visit with family, I decided to spend one-on-one time with each one before they left. This was the only successful trip. :) My older one couldn't decide what she wanted to do though many offers were presented to her. Finally she decided on dinner at a restaurant. She didn't like anything on the menu and ended up ordering a salad she hardly ate. The air conditioning was totally freezing and, of course, blowing right on us. My little one decided on seeing the fabulous movie "WALLE" but it was a wicked hot day and we were late (no fault of my own) and, after her sweating in the car (in spite of air conditioning) and being 9 minutes late into the movie, she wasn't happy. But my middle one wanted me to take her to my favorite museum and, though she is serious here, really enjoyed herself much to my great relief and happiness. We had a wonderful day. She is my most willing model.

teens can be so frusturating. they do cherish the moments, talk about them later, and are perfectly happy being in a cranky mood.
