I spent a half hour in the yard with this beauty as it nectared in a shrub called Abelia.

It is sometimes difficult to photograph these large swallowtails because they must flutter to keep themselves at the flower. I got some good shots. This will be cropped. It's one of two or three really good ones.

Mislabelled this butterfly. Thank you, Klaus. It is a Tiger. What was I thinking?

Very nice photo May. The Giant Swallowtails are black and white however, and this one is a Tiger Swallowtail according to my butterfly book.

Great shot. I can never get butterflies to let me compose a shot like that even at 4000sec !

Beautiful capture of a beautiful creature. I know how hard it is to "capture" one of these.
