Submitted to Photo Challenge: Nature Conquers Man
As an explorer/photographer of abandoned places, I am always amazed at natures ability to take hold in seemingly unfriendly environments - In this picture, a new tree has found it's home on the third floor of an abandoned school, who's roof has long since been open due to fire. As a teen, when I first explored this building, this building was intact - there had not yet been a fire, and it was the beginning of my fascination with abandoned places. It is baffling how much a place can change in 20 years...
