My japanese friend Akio looks over his recently seeded tomato plantation. His family has farmed in Brazil for over 3 generations. Recently, they have felt the effects of climate change & the agricultural crisis in Brazil.
I ask him, "Do you still want to plant your crops? Is it worth it if you are losing money?"
"It is all I know", he answers me sullenly.
In the The Japanese-Brazilian Farmer photo essay.
