Q: I am really into my wildlife photography but cannot afford a super zoom lens, I have a 300mm and am considering a teleconvertor. Has anybody had a experience with these and would you recommend them?

A: Do you know?

I can remember looking at my parent's film slides slotted into a round about Kodak projector and flashed on to a roll out viewing screen. My dad was in charge of the projector, and my mom was in charge of fixing his screw ups. The pictures looked larger than life, Kodachrome visions of Niagara Falls, the Jersey Shore, even a honeymoon to Bermuda. And so forty years later, I look for that photograph that is larger than life. And I finally found it, and it brings me round to where I left off, seeing the big picture. The book I'm reading is by Edward Burtynsky and is titled "Manufactured Landscapes"

Cool story, and I see your book, see you, and you have a story. Sounds like a winner to me :)
