The Digital Photography Handbook; it's basic, easy to read, easy to follow and loaded with tips. Of all my books it is the one I can count on. It showed me the ropes in the beginning and refreshes my outlook every time I pick it up. The best part about this how-to was I found it on the bargain table for $4.95. I toyed for hours with the 25 and 30 dollar books but none of them showed me what this one did. The differences in types of digital cameras, use of workspace, photoshop techniques and the most important what all the lingo was about. When I began I didn't know the difference between an f-stop and a bus stop. For all I knew Dof had something to do with the defense department. This book led me patiently step-by-step through the world of digital. It was written by Doug Harmon, photography by David Jones in 2006. Even though it is a couple of years old the information is timeless.
