a small book of black & white lies
Homemade pinhole bodycap on my Canon 40d; 10 second exposure.
a small book of black & white lies
by Dave McKean (1995)
A little tome of ethereal beauty and otherworldly inspiration. Dave McKean has a keen sense of the dream transcribed to reality. (A skill no doubt honed as the cover illustrator for the entire run of DC’s Sandman series). Surreal, touching, and frightening at once, his images manipulate our emotions in the sense of something half-remembered; somewhere in the liminality between waking and our other self.
This book is a reason why I wanted to become a photographer.
