If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).
Collections are a JPG+ feature. You must be a JPG+ member to create new collections and to add photos to collections.

While not the place I currently call home, a photograph taken at a location I stayed while traveling through Italia. A conglomeration of language, passion, intrigue and culture; the apartment where three Spanish and two Czech girls were living while studying abroad for the year in Salerno, Italia. Paths crossed with one of the Spaniards in Positano and as the story goes I ended up staying in that region of Italia for longer then expected or imagined. Salerno, Italia is not on the first page of the tour books, but of all the places in that country I visited, it became the highlight of the trip; I have many great stories and memories from my stay that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
Home is what you make of it. No matter the duration of the stay. No matter the physical construct. No matter the location. All things considered, this is one of the many places that has left a big mark on my life and that I consider “home.”
For those curious, the lighting effect was created by the result of a long exposure lit by a streetlight hanging just outside the kitchen balcony.
