Strength
One of five large scale (6' x 3') images from my BFA Senior Thesis Show, which included similar portraits of five different women, who have endured situations in their life that have forced them to revaluate both their physical and phsychological connection to their bodies.
I chose this image for the theme Faith, because my subjects battle with breast cancer, challenged every sense of the word. She chose the text on her back because the words in the serenity prayer helped her make it through each day.
