I took this at lunchtime. I rarely leave the confines of my office's lunchroom except to purchase food.
On this day it was dry. I've been feeling a bit boring recently so I'd packed my camera in my handbag in preparation for a photographic wander.
I found quite a few people enjoying the mild mid-winter weather. It was gray but bright and warm. The seagulls were in from the ocean where tropical storms still passed by.
This man's posture caught my attention. He seemed a bit morose. Staring out across the harbour towards the islands of the Hauraki Gulf, he was inanimate. I read a weight upon his shoulders and a huge amount of worry in his thoughts. Gray like the day. He described my need for solitude.
